Innovating while remaining faithful to tradition and its roots has always been one of the cornerstones of Mantellassi, which over the years has continued to experiment in forms and technologies while maintaining that attention to detail and comfort typical of Made in Italy craftsmanship.
With the same spirit, we designed Doria, a colonial sofa that draws inspiration from classic of sofas, reinterpreting it in a neoclassical key.
The design cornerstone of Doria is the harmonic intersection of round and square shapes, a set of volumes that overlap and unite to give life to a sofa with generous and large dimensions to accommodate moments of relaxation.
From an aesthetic point of view, a padded roller that defines the upper part of the back and the armrests characterizes Doria; the squared hammer seats rest on an ideal edge to be finished with fringe or frill, even if some prefer it with visible chippendale legs.
Even in the choice of upholstery, the Doria sofa expresses its potential as a new neoclassical icon. The option of being able to upholster it in contrast enriches its expressive potential: in addition to the versions in coordinated velvets, the sofa can in fact be characterized by a double covering that it combines two materials with a textile insert for the back / armrest volume and in leather for the structure and seat.The artisan touch of the traditional capitonné enhances the wide backrest.
